The Team Approach

Leslie and Lynda teach and lead as a team…always working together in relationship. This differs from the traditional 1 leader model.

We teach by doing rather than just talking.  We are relationship in action. We are constantly at work to be aware of and change our own stress habits. We use the tools we have created to get out of stress habits so we can work as a system for your organization.  We trust each other. We deal with change and difference by being real, being present and showing up in relationship with each other.  We acknowledge and show respect for each other’s ideas and opinions. We are compassionately curious. We choose to have conversations that may be difficult and deal with differences. We hold each other accountable. We dialogue together about patterns we observe in your human relationship system. We do this and stay connected in a caring way. We evaluate our results.

Stress is by nature contagious. When an individual leader is working with any system, there is a powerful magnetic draw into the stress habits and patterns already in place. For example when someone is drowning, the drowning person will try to drown the helper. You need a second person to counterbalance.

Organizations are complex and at times chaotic. When there is one person observing a system the possibility of getting caught in the system’s story and perspective is greater.

In our experience in the same situation we can see 2 or more different things. It helps reduce bias and increases neutrality. We believe two heads and four eyes are better than one!

There is greater accountability and challenge to each other’s ideas and perspectives.

Our conversations as a team increase the possibility of creative solutions. The potential for creativity and flow is greater.

Each of us has different natural abilities and acquired skills.  They can be tapped into and are complementary. Leslie has a legal background and Lynda a medical background. We have different experiences being in and working with organizations as well as our extensive training in human relationship systems.

We value learning. We believe organizations and the leaders in them can learn, can choose to make change and can make the change.
